EMDP Teacher Training
With EMDP you can train to become a teacher of exercise, movement and dance at Level 2 and/or 3 through our training framework.
Level 2 Street Dance
In collaboration with United Dance Organisation (UDO) we are offering the opportunity to be part of a fantastic course to gain a Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Street Dance to Adults (16+). This course equips candidates with the skills to be able to deliver safe and effective street dance classes. Candidates are taught everything they need to know from Anatomy and Physiology to the History of Hip-hop and Street Dance. Most importantly candidates discover the revolutionary subgenres of Street Dance discipline (such as popping, locking and whacking) and the most effective ways of teaching them. Level 2 Just Jhoom! Bollywood Dance - NEW!
In collaboration with Just Jhoom! we are offering the opportunity to be part of a fantastic course to gain a Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Just Jhoom! Bollywood Dance to Adults (16+). Inspired by the glitz and the glamour of Bollywood films, Just Jhoom! means Just Dance! and draws on a range of dance styles from classical Indian to Bhangra. Click for our Level 2 Just Jhoom! Level 3 Bagot Stack
Fitness League, a well-established nationwide exercise network, is a founder partner of the Exercise Movement and Dance Partnership. Its teachers throughout the UK deliver classes teaching Bagot Stack, designed to improve posture and well-being through central control (core stability) and rhythmic exercise to music, releasing the body's potential for good health. Level 3 KFA Moves
The Keep Fit Association is a long-established body – from 1956 - dedicated to the provision of safe and effective exercise, movement and dance and is a founder partner of the Exercise Movement and Dance Partnership. All KFA movement is based on Rudolph Laban’s principles. Known as the father of modern European dance, he devised a clear and concise movement language that gives teachers the tools to provide an holistic workout with functional fitness through creative choreography. Level 3 Medau Movement
Medau is a founder partner of the Exercise, Movement and Dance Partnership. Working with a variety of music and rhythms, Medau movement encourages the body to move with energy, strength, stamina, suppleness and co-ordination. Focussing on correct posture and body alignment, Medau movement has a natural, flowing quality, whilst at the same time being dynamic, lifting the spirits and increasing confidence. Who recognises our courses?
Our courses sit at Level 2 and 3 on the qualifications and credit framework (QCF) and are awarded by Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ). Our Level 3 course is also recognised by REPs and will gain you entry on to the REPs instructor register at Level 3.
